LET'S TALK ABOUT RACISM...

The streets of America are, once again, filled with people protesting racist police officers. One of their demands is an open and frank discussion about the topic of racism in America, which got me to wondering...People say they want to talk about racism, but exactly what does this mean? Does this mean that they're willing to sit down and talk about the issues, on both sides of the fence, and with an open mind? Or are their minds irrevocably made up, with absolutely no room for discussion, let alone an open-minded examination of the facts? Based on what I've seen on TV, I can't help but feel that most people already have their minds made up, resulting in an "us against them" mentality, but knowing lamestream media the way I do, it's just as possible that this isn't the case, that it's only being portrayed this way in an attempt to boost ratings, while at the same time, increasing incidents to report on.
With that said, I'm curious to know what you've got to say on the issues. First, do you think the shootings portrayed on the media are the result of racial bias? Why or why not? If you're arguing that these deaths are indeed the result of racial bias, then how do you explain those black men who were killed by black police officers?
As always, you can leave any response(s) where on the site, or mail them directly to me at the address listed below. Either way, all responses will be answered.
