Thank you for your kind comments.
When that old post was published on April 17, 2011—nearly seven years ago—I had no idea that tragic events in coming years would put first responders in a spotlight. I believe people today are more aware of the sacrifices first responders make each day. Nevertheless, we should ALWAYS be willing to take a moment to simply say, "Thank you for your service." These are, after all, men and women who are willing to give their lives to save ours.
