Don't Wait To Give Them Their Roses

Don't Wait To Give Them Their Roses

How often do we really take the time to show our loved ones—family and friends—how much they mean to us? And how often do we watch them pass on to the next life, wishing we'd have only taken the time to do so? Perhaps in most cases, we just feel like it's implied. Or perhaps it's just human nature to believe there's always tomorrow.

But I've seen enough important people in my life come and go to understand that is never the case. In reality, life is fleeting and time passes quickly. So waiting for tomorrow is no excuse at all.

At a time when so many people are divided over so many different issues, maybe this is something we should harp on just a little more.

Don't fall into the trap of debating the endless issues that never go away in today's society. Instead take time to focus on all the things that brought you together. Let each other know how happy you are to be creating memories together. Make sure they know what they mean to you. Make sure they know how much you treasure them. Show them how much you care about them. Tell them how much you love them. You just never know when it'll be your last chance to give them their roses.

Hey there! I just finished transcribing your post about not hesitating to give loved ones their roses while they're still alive. Thank you for writing it.

You're right. So much has happened, and we're given only so many days in life. Sharing and giving love in our limited days with loved ones is a powerful and wonderful message. I hope more people will read it and act in the way you hope.

Again, thank you very much.
