Manipulating Life

Hello, everyone.

I have been manipulating people my whole life. I'm very good at it. I never believed what I was doing was wrong because I have been manipulated. We all have. Our parents, our brothers and sisters, our loves, our children—all use our love for them to get what they want from us. We do it to them too. I can honestly say that there are very few people who will be able to resist me sexually, man or woman.

I was just recently offended by someone who I felt had used my kindness to cheat me out of something. I have a pretty good reputation on this unit because of what God has been doing in my life. Even people who don't believe in the Father respect me. So I decided to tell all of these people about this guy cheating me, knowing full well the trouble it would cause him. I even knew he might get beaten up because of it. A couple days later, I manipulated our new chaplin who is a KAIROS brother who knows my testimony. He did for me what I asked him to. I was proud of myself, I had gotten what what I wanted.

But then, God asked me why I didn't trust him. He then asked me how I could use them like that, how could I use their love for me against them. I felt horrible, the guilt and shame of what I had done made me feel physically sick to my stomach.

I prayed. I asked for God to forgive me. I asked for him to strengthen me so I would never do it again. I asked for God to forgive the guy who took advantage of me and to bless him so he wouldn't have to do that to anyone else. The Father not only forgave me but he has been blessing me greatly since.

Sometimes God's love and mercy for us all leaves me in tears. We don't have to be perfect for God to love us and be in our lives. We just have to be willing to admit we messed up and ask for forgiveness. God bless you all.
