SICKNESS AMONG THE MASSES
We are given flu shots here in prison-I just got mine today-and it's surprising to find so many Southerners terrified of any form of vaccination or inoculation.
Thinking it's going to be the cause of their sickness.
Grouping science in with witchcraft or Wicca.
I've actually had a cellie once that worked in the chapel, and he swore against flu shots as being the cause of the flu epidemic in the U.S., and it didn't take long before he GOT the flu. There I was stuck in the cell with him during a lock-down of all times, and he was knock down, dead-sick!
So, I know the shots work; because, by all reason, I should have caught the flu-with the size of the cell, and bad air flow, with no open window-I was inundated by the germs. Yet, I was fine. There he was thinking he was going to die, with the nurses giving him Tylenol and the usual: "Keep-your-head-up and make sure to wash your hands."
This is actually a little late in the season to be getting one, but … it's not like any of us have a choice in the matter. Whatever I can do to keep from having to keep my head up all the time.

I refuse the flu shot every year now ever since i got the flu January 2018 and my doctor even told me that the flu shot wasnt even worth getting it, that it didnt even cover the strand of the flu.
kinda crazy to believe they make you guys get the flu shot it should be a choice.
