I'm ever so restless and alone
Knowing you're there on your own
Leaves me feeling sad within my heart
The scent of you lingers in my mind, pleasant
Ghosts of yesterday's demise
Keeps the moments of our time together alive
Within—reminds me of the sparkle of your eyes
I long to hear your tender voice, and to feel
The excitement that comes with you calling my name
If you dared whisper into my ear of your love for
Me—if it in fact matched mine's for you
Then my life would never be the same
If I quiet all the madness within, I can still
Feel your tantalizing caresses from yesterday
Quite paralyzing—How I long to be in your embrace
To see that hypnotizing smile from your face
Because of you I am able to rise each day anew
Eager and able to take on each day without delay
Each challenge, each trial winnable because of you
Your beauty, your character such a refreshing
Sight
You, my beloved, have become my guiding light
