Julia,
Hello, Julia. Today I received a wonderful comment from you and some very interesting and helpful tips concerning SB 1437.
I would first and foremost like to thank you for reading and responding to my latest blog posts. I honestly appreciate it when people take time out of their lives to respond to my blog. Especially when a person uses their day to make mine a whole lot brighter.
Julia, please forgive this snail mail response from me. When someone leaves a comment on my blog, it says recent comments left for Donald Tinsley. Then I get a reply ID (7q46 is yours) and whatever you decided to say to me. This one from you says comments posted two weeks, three days ago. Julia, I received this info from you on July 19, 2019, but there's also a June 10, 2019 date. My apologies for taking this long to respond, but that's the price I pay for living in a cage. Everything is slow.
I should update you on my chances at getting my SB 1437 petition denial answered from the appellate court. Two things, actually.
First, every petition that was filed in the court that tried and convicted me was also denied, so I'm not alone on that. My superior court is in Stockton, CA, and they denied every person who filed under SB 1347 without giving anyone of us a public defender.
Secondly, my public defender's staff wrote and said, "Don't panic. I'll file your appeal." Which, now that I have an attorney, leads to my next step of winning my appeal. I'll keep you posted when I hear good or bad news. I'm obviously not allowed to talk about the case, so I'll post the end result when my attorney says it's okay.
Please fill your thoughts and prayers with me in mind. Julia, thanks to you, I'm in a wonderful mood. Take care and drop a comment anytime. I will always respond.
Respectfully,
Donnie
