Subject: Toilet infections? What!?

So, for months, I'm seeing guys going to the common area bathroom carrying their shower shoes. It's odd to me, and I am thinking it's something religious. I will sometimes use my shoes when I kneel so I don't wear down the knees on my pants.

A lot of these guys I see are not very religious. Far from it.

The other day I finally figured it out. The place their shower shoes on the toilet and sit on them to use the toilet.

That's prison for you. So germaphobic or racist, or both. They don't dare sit their butt on a toilet seat.

So instead they use one of the most contagious items in prison: our shower shoes. MRSR (staff) is one of the most infectious diseases in prison. Our shower shoes ate the main protection since the shower is the most likely place to catch it.

Now I see these guys standing around holding the shower shoes, sole part, in their hands or tucked into their armpits for 30 minutes. Sometimes they have food, a burrito or cookies, in one hand while holding the soles of their shoes in the other.

God forbid that they sit on a toilet seat though!

What might they catch on their butts?

Oh brother... Bunch of geniuses in here.
