Subject: Sad, but important vote

It is sad that an American president must be impeached. I am glad that the American people know and have heard both sides of the arguments. I am especially glad that our enemies, like Putin, Iran, North Korea and China are now "checked" in this situation. One battle in the new war against our enemies, Putin, etc. is won, but wars are never easy or quick.

I am not concerned about President Trump but concerned more about the attitude of my own Republican party. I heard attacks like "Anyone against President Trump is an enemy of America!" "You are all radical socialists!" This is sad to me...

The basic argument is who cares!? Look at all the money and jobs we have! Who cares about this Russia stuff!? I am sad that my fellow Americans are so easily willing to trade our freedom and the millions of lives lost fighting for the Constitution—to hand it over and create the stage for an American dictator in our future?

We, America, will survive this uncomfortable and sad impeachment. I hope my fellow Americans will consider their own integrity and values in this. I wonder what the real fear is that I was hearing in the voices of the Republicans. Is this the last fighting determined effort of scared elite white America?

I am white also, but I love that America is for all people, all races. Prison shows me the hatred created related to skin color, and I am very saddened by it.

As Americans, we should fight any fear and desire to create a segregated America. We continue to fight slavery and racism even after hundreds of years and millions dead. When will we learn that we are all blessed and American patriots?

God bless America and watch over these days leading up to the 2020 election.
