An elitist, wealthy, Trump crony gets special favor from the "Attorney General" of the United States.
Maybe I've been wrong my whole life? Maybe crime IS the American way? Maybe it's all been a lie...
Everyday, I am debating with men in prison that America is just, and worth fighting for, worth believing in, worth striving to improve...
Everyday, there is push back and pity, like..."Dave, you just don't get it..."
Especially from black men who have their entire lives witnessed and experienced an imbalance in the justice scales.
I served my country in war (2 1/2 years)...For 3 decades paid my taxes, lived a middle class life, wife, children, mortgage on a home, worked a steady job, God fearing... I was NOT selling dope, robbing anyone, raping or beating anyone and I wasn't plotting against anyone.
But when my mind and spirit were broken from serving my country, did [I] get a break? Did I get treatment?
No!
16-year prison sentence, and they said, "that was my break"...
14-years incarcerated now...
My wife left me...
I don't know my children, they are strangers...
I've suffered countless injustices and illnesses that have crippled me for life...
My career and health are crushed and the rest of my days I will suffer even when I am not in prison... Basically, my life is fucked!
Someone is laughing and happy about this...
I am truly sick to my stomach...
Why even try?
What am I hoping to achieve? Clearly the awards are going to the criminals and slimeballs of America...
