Thank you for your comment and for your kind words. And thank you for reading the material that I share.

I am a member of many of the nonprofits I share material from; and it's a pleasure to share media reports from journalists who really do an awesome job of reporting what the mainstream media does not, cannot, or will not report.

Turning to your random questions, you asked if I have a favorite time of day and, if so, what makes it so special to me. Interesting questions, and thank you for making me think about something besides legal issues and politics today.

I don't know if I have one particular "favorite" time of day, but there are three things that I especially look forward to each day:

* One if "phone time." My family all live in another state and cannot visit regularly. Our phone calls are our only "visitation", and being able to talk to my family means a lot to me. I also call my mom every day. I've always known that our time on Earth is limited, but my mom's recent lung cancer diagnosis really drove home the brevity and frailty of life—and that it's possible I may never see her face to face on this earth again. So my calls to her are especially meaningful and important to me. Every call is precious and is a gift.
* Another is "mail call." Mail from family and friends means so much to me and provides for conversation broader than a 20-minute call alone allows. Likewise, communication with reform and advocacy organizations, attorneys, journalists, and advocates keeps me "connected" to society and allows me to be part of meaningful work beyond prison walls.
* Finally I look forward to the hours after 10:30 PM. Prison is so chaotic and LOUD. I work as a "jailhouse lawyer" through the noisy, hectic days dealing with myriad legal issues and problems. But after 10:30 PM, things get quiet. There is peace, solitude—a time to meditate, pray, or just be alone with my thoughts. I crave that "quiet time" at the end of each day.

Thank you again for your comments and for reading my posts.
