Hi chao

Great to hear from you. After our mini-pandemic in Stanley I think we attained herd immunity the hard way - by infecting virtually everyone with COVID-19. I have done a lot of reading and listening to news media reports about COVID-19. One report stated that people who were infected with the SARS corona virus in 2003 still had antibodies for the virus. I'm pretty sure anyone who survives COVID-19 without a severe illness is safe from further infection.

I think the Stanley experiment proves this. We are back to living in an essentially COVID-19-free bubble like we were before the October outbreak infected us all.

Now that the vaccines are being distributed, we can see the end of the ordeal. Even if there are mutations, we will eventually catch up with the front end of the infections and be able to squash every outbreak as it pops up.

Stay safe,

Harlan
