this is my first attempt to utilize the "internet", is that the right term? this morning we just came back from chow only to be told that the electrical power in our cells will be turned off between the hrs. of 8:00 a.m. thru 4:00 p.m. the worse part is that our toilet is hooked-up to an electrical device that only allows us to flush our toilet twice within a ten minute period. any attempt to try for a third flush will "lock" one out for 30 minue, but with no power we can't flush at all right now. don't know the reason for the power outage. can only assume it's for budget reasons - if thats the case I'm OK with that. I look forward to the day when this budget crisis causes the state of california's financial mess to come crashing down like a house of cards. it's to bad that we have to be locked down in our cells today. it looked like it was going to be a really nice day.
can you hear me out there in the land of the free?

We can hear you, loud and clear. I get your point about the house of cards in the CA economy, sadly when the house falls down it will probably be the least powerful in society who get trapped under the rubble. Let's hope that right before the collapse people realize we're all in the same boat and have to pull together.
