A Plea to Remember
by Jeremy Pinson

I recently received the attached letter from a civil rights organization on the same day I saw this mutually humorous and sobering picture. The Great Recession has harmed the organizations that stand between Americans, whether incarcerated or not, and unconstitutional tyranny.

Most Americans rarely contemplate the freedoms which they exercise each, day for their direct confrontation with the government is rare. But those rights and any person's ability to exercise them depends on the degree to which the government is constrained within the boundaries enumerated in the Constitution. When those boundaries are in any way violated, it is dedicated attorneys such as Alexis Agathocleous, Edwin Aro, Laura Rovner, Deborah Golden, Nicole Godfrey, Elizabeth Own, and Richard Wilson who act as the guardians of the Constitution.

But without donations and public support, even the best guardians are deprived of the ability to act as a buffer between freedom and tyranny.

I urge all patriots who profess a belief in liberty and democratic principles to visit www.ccrjustice.org, www.aclu.org, www.coloradoprisonlawproject.org, and www.washlaw.org, and support those who guard our rights every day!
