Re: SYSTEMIC MEDICAL FAILURE - ROCKO ROMANO - ATTORNEY VISIT
Dear Attorney Thompson,
I would be happy to meet with you. Please afford me advance notice of your trip to MCI Shirley as I am a very busy man and can not risk schedule conflicts. I act as a "one man army" in here fighting the serious operational failured of the facility while trying to balance that with helping to instill hope in my brother prisoners through "real" efforts toward rehabilitation.
I will assemble what materials I can for you. I want you to consider a "Prisoner Summit Meeting" on the medical failure topic. You need to be able to have an open forum, with me as the mediator (as some of these guys are hard to handle) so that we can bring the issues to light. This would be far more effective than one-on-ones with men who can not orate well. You could tape-record the "summit" and transcribe the testimony. Why not try to step up the game?
I am a bit of a hard-charger, but I get results. I do have many issues with PLS, but feel if Leslie would listen to her constituents the agency could be more effective. Advocates DO NOT get to decide what their constituents want! No one speaks for me, I can speak for myself, and I am sick of the DOC harming society. My efforts are ALL to combat that very real enemy. We need warrior lawyers, not negotiators.
I will be looking forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely

Timothy J. Muise
