Testimony

Testimony is a song about not only my life but also the lives of some of the people I grew up around. It is also my oldest song. I wrote it when I was sixteen and facing Hell's gates.

Chorus x2
Your testimony is no longer needed
In my times, I done seen plenty niggas bleeding
When I try and go straight
Then these crackers wanna hate
When I try and go 'round
Then they wanna knock us down.

Verse One:
On ah escalator, heading straight for Hell
Wanna turn the other way, they say I'm sure to fail
Tripping on my shoestring, they screaming warn out thug
In this cold world, where they say the good die young
Well, that's a bad theory 'cause I'm not dead yet
Living in this world is like playing Russian roulette
On the scroll late night, seeing vice roll by
Next day I'm in jail, tears in my mom's eye
Wishing I would've stayed home and watched my shorty
Instead of hustle on the scroll and sip on a 40
Big Bruss come quick to bail me out
He had to steal back the money that he gave to his spouse.
