A victory in the phone department. after years of bitching about rediculous rates for anyone who isn't "local". Now a new provider lowers all rates to $4.80 for 30 minutes anywhere in the country. The local guys bitch because they're paying the same. Maybe it's a socialist view but so what. It's my turn to get cheap calls. now, to convince my daughter to let me call. Now for the price of one current call, I can make 4 calls under the new contract. and get this, it's going ot be cheaper to call out of country than it is for me to call home now. Aint that some shit? I'm kniwn for being a bit cynical for good reason. So the idea of family in here to us is more of a sight gag. Americans attutude of we're family when we're around. Out of sight, out of mind. It sucks but that's the reality. It doesn't hurt anymore, but it is what it is. With theser cheaper call I can be in my daughter's ear more than usual. Call before school, tell her to have a good day that sort or thing. "They" say. people from your past come out of the woodwork before your release. Why fracking wait that long? If it's cheaper to call then do it. Of course, envelopes and stamps are cheaper"

i'm having a difficult time of convincing myself to do anything lately. i'm actually hoping for a layoff at wor. Can't afford to quit, but a layoff would at least allow me to collect unemployment. My current job is the biggest source of stress in my life and, as such, the biggest contributor to my depression.
