I am so full of joy,
grateful, and excited
about this brand new day!
In this glorious moment,
there is peace, and all is
well. What matters most is
that i am here and my
Creator is with me.

I imagine knowing this to
be a day filled with Light,
Love, and laughter. I
expect to be guided by the
still, small voice and
directed on my path. My
understanding increases,
and i am blessed with new
wisdom.

This is a brand new day! I
seek expansion of my
experiences so that i am
attracting golden
opportunities and magical
moments. I am open,
receptive, embracing and
loving all that is.

I allow the force of Love to
bless others through me. I
reflect and shine my light
so that someone else may
find their way. I pray-
attention and stay aware
pf the magnificence and
beauty that surround me.
Every vibration of this
moment is magnified, and
I am grateful for another
amazing opportunity-day!
I am an African Classic-
X-Ray

Behold, now is the accepted time...

As I read your poem, the energy I feel so reminds me of men and women I've come to know in Central Prison, in the shelter, or in the hospital over two decades. They have been released from their bondage, not from their trial, and their lives are inspiring.

Oswald Chambers tells us that God doesn't give us trials to teach us anything, but to help us unlearn a lifetime of bad habits and to simlify our lives. The endpoint; the mind of a child who can think of nothing but God.

As we go thru our trials, we can take one of two paths: A path in Christ's light; marked by hope, joy, love, purpose and freedom. The alternate path is in darkness; lives here are marked by hopelessness, anger despair, self-centeredness, fear and bondage. Irrespective of our situation each of us is free to choose the dark or the light; whether we live in opulence and comfort, or in abject poverty, addiction, incarceration, or chronic illness.

Those who walk in the light, with a sense of hope and purpose, don't endure or cope with adversity, but find in it a depth of joy and peace. This mighty power is from God, and it compels the lost from the dark into the light. Let's not go to war with our trials, using our shallow power as a weapon, or fast-forward thru them in search of happiness. Rather, embrace them as a mission field; an appointment for service from God for God.

Where did that graphic come from? Is that a commentary about social media being withheld from prisoners or about social media "shackling" our society? Or both?

Thanks for your piece.

I loved the poem in wish I see light and comfort. Not many prisoners have that passion and confidence. it remind them that there still hope and that not all is lost. but most important believing in the one and only our creator. a lot of people might judge him but without him we are nothing. its not easy to go through prison but am glad that people like you look the positive way if life. God bless you!!!
