[drawing of a turkey surrounded by autumn leaves]

The character of Annie Dookham,
You soon will be healed,
It is a normal thing in the band,
After all it is the Judicial Branch.

Yet at this moment the
Governor's back bone statement
Gave us all one dim ray of light.

As we take it in this and review
Will thou forgive that sin.
The Legislative Branch was saying
By passing Melissa's law,
"We have knowledge of the sin,
But we will show confidence to
Overcome the public fear."

Bulger is singing with the
Fiddler on the Roof,
But I sometimes hold it as a
Half a sin, because we all bear
The fruit of sin,
HOWEVER LORD,
Here in Massachusetts
Sin & Corruption is blossom,
And rampant after all, we are
NEW ENGLANDERS within the power,
Can do almost anything
They want, that was the
Main complaint of Daniel Shays.

Light and hope is at the
End of the tunnel.
The People-power, can
Overcome the vicious circle
Of the Stateholder.

We have shadows in the water
And darkness on the light,
A crystal brow, anger and
Despair, repressed homosexuals
And denying civil rights for
Those who have language barrier.

The tide rises, under the power
Of Sandy's waver, sand blast as
A baptizing act for those who
Are taking kickbacks and claiming
They are tough on crime.

I wonder if Cortes and Montezuma
Are being reincarnated and
Walking around the State House.

Oh My God!!, the BACK-BONE is
Now in question, the spinal cord
Does not have a room.

"Hypocrisy is rampant and I wonder if we really have a Back-Bone after all...?"

Hmmm....Luis...my friend, yes hypocrisy is really a shame but sadly I don't think it is going away. Yes those in power do seem to be able to do whatever they choose. And minorities of any kind generally do fall short of civil rights, heck even basic human rights too...It is a sad state for people who are not white upper-class males...that would include any race not white, gays & lesbians, poor people, women, disabled people, drug addicts, convicted felons, etc....Basically the majority of people fall into the category of being disenfranchised and disarmed...When there are too many politically apathetic people and Democracy falls short...dear friend in the end all we can do sometimes is continue having hope, smiling and loving all those who cross our path...take care of ourselves and leave the rest in God's hands to sort out. Out of all of the people I have helped in this life...myself is sometimes who I forget. Love yourself, stick up for yourself and speak up for what you believe in...don't let the greed, anger and negativity get the best of you. Just put one foot in front of the other day by day, and remember you always make a difference to all people you come in contact with! Happy Holidays to you & your family in this upcoming 2013... :) Jody
