Let me tell you about the stupid problem I am trying to deal with right now. There is an inmate who is currently threatening me and a couple of my friends. He is a black man who is saying that the 3 of us are racist and have forced a friend of his off of our living area. He is threatening violence, to destroy property and several other very unpleasant responses to our supposed racism. What is so damned sad about this situation is that this guy has done 20 years straight in prison on a life sentence and just last month he was given a F-I-1. What this means is he was given parole and would be going home within the next couple of weeks. If he follows through with any of his threats he will get a major disciplinary write-up and will automatically lose his parole. What is wrong with people, do they enjoy being locked-up so much that they would willingly throw away a chance to go home?
Another similar story happened a couple of years ago while I was locked-up in solitary for fighting. A young Latin guy in the cell next to me was pulled out to go see the parole board, while he was gone we were given our lunch trays but a friend of my neighbour was not given his tray because he was jacking-off to one of the female guards. When the young guy got back he was happy because he was given an F.I.2. His friend told him about not getting his tray and he convinced the youngster to help him floor the run. Well the dude flooded the run but his friend didn't, the guards came back and saw all the water coming out of his cell so they wrote him a major case and the guy lost his parole and was given a 5 year set-off.
