I don´t believe atheists mean the danger for believers when they say religion is dangerous. I often heard "religion is the root of all evil". That´s probably more what they mean.
Naw, Jesus didn´t intend to bring chaos. I don´t think so. If it was up to him (leaving our freedom of decision away) we´d follow what he taught us and if all of us here on earth did, it would be a better place. He was just intelligent enough to know what would be coming up to his followers and he prepared them for that. ;-)
PS "Please don´t bring God into it" - Ronnie, it´s completely up to you to say you don´t believe in a God (or at least not in a loving God). But if you want to get comments, you´ll have to accept that people thinking different write their opinion. This contains God too, if the comment writer is a believer.
Of course, I can stop leaving such comments if that´s your wish, but then it would mean I´d stop reading your blogposts. You don´t like if someone tells you what to write and what not, right? Same with me. No one forces you to agree and to change your own mind. But I want to be free to leave more than only what you´d like to hear (especially as that doesn´t attack you).
Besides I see another point: It´s not only you reading the comments. Who knows who the others are, what doubts they have and which other opinions than yours may help them along? My faith is very important to me and so I´ll try to say something to answer possible questions as good as I can - if not for you, then maybe for others.
The author Franz Werfel wrote as an idiom at the beginning of the novel "Das Lied von Bernadette" (means "The song of Bernadette" - no idea under which title it was published in English): For the one who wants to believe, there´s enough light, and for the one who doesn´t, enough darkness.
Well, I guess you can´t escape from knowing if you have cancer genes. If there were many cases of cancer in your family already, then it´s more than likely you have those genes too.
Hey Dad, I am definately on a new course in life, as far as what my plans are, ive been working with teens in recovery for the past 3 months at a residential facility and will be here for 3 more, Gods doing amazing things. But I feel that Gods next step for me is taking a 6 month class called awaken, its a part of a Christian discipleing and mission field ministry called YWAM (youth with a mission), Ill be taking a 3 month class and then do 3 months of mission work. Bill Gods really done great things and brought tremendous healing in my life and heart and he continues to pour out on me, my only hope and true desire is to share Jesus with the world, thats why (speaking on what Will told you about) I say what I say and do what I do and people are touched, because I'm sharing Jesus with them and He does the rest.

riker is a coward. no other explanation. i've read, digested his cases...smells and looks like a coward. so sorry to the women who were involved in his "game". Looks like his party is up. :)
It's good that you care about the other inmates. Especially the disabled ones. you sound like a very caring person. Is there anyway you can write a kite expressing your concerns to the warden? I think it's sick that disabled people are kept at the same prisons. I was locked up at Coffee Creek in Oregon and they kept some of the mentally ill inmates on a separate unit. They didn't allow us to go to church. But they kept us safe on our own little unit. They let us crochet all day. And next door was the infirmary where they kept inmates that were in wheelchairs and such. The inmates in the infirmary had the best beds. They were hospital beds that had remote controls. I got to sleep in one when the mental health unit was over crowded. I'm sorry that the prison there isn't taking that good care of the disabled inmates. The best thing you can do for the deaf girl is be her friend. Stay strong. Love Melissa Albany, Oregon

Case in point: let me digress for a moment.
There is ONE inmate (Marcus T Rogers #377571
SCI
100 Corrections Drive
Stanley, WI 54768)
who caught my attention.
Mr. Rogers admitted and actually apologized/showed remorse for his crime.
He answered every inquiry factually. He was respectful and (to my knowledge), honest.
I give kudos to Mr Rogers and will assist as long as he tells me the truth.
