It has been too long I wrote you here. How are you doing? I hope all is well with you?
With what exactly are you busy right now, Brandon?
A lot happened with George! There were hunger strikes in his prison and in his previous one. He wasn't really for it; he thought it didn't really help. He made a cartoon showing a staff member getting all those types of food and the prisoners only 5 items. They get 28! When his dad made copies, it was intercepted! He was one month in segregation for that! Then he was one month back and they threw him again for 2 months in seg! Because he helped inmates with their legal case. But that was a right they have. Now they transferred him to another prison, somewhere south of the other one, still in Illinois. I still have to have his first letter from there. Wonder if he is still in seg?!
I've my birthday on the 26th of March. And will celebrate it first with my friends and the next day with my neighbors.
I wish you all the best and tell me how you are doing, ok?

touche. Good work. what is hard though is there are inmates who don't have any access to what is legally right or wrong. I write a prison blog for an inmate in Huntsville.http://mynameisjamie.net The constant struggle to keep them from being thrown in lockup because of false cases written up and then have an inner 'court' appearance in which he isn't allowed to attend, the officer who wrote up the case is absent, someone stands in for the inmate who wasn't there and presto - back in lockup going from a recently hard earned G2 status to a G4. This was the first time he had been allowed to make a phone call in 9 years and 2 weeks later they take it away. How can he stand up for himself? He's already done 4 years in 2 stints in ad seg because of lies. But it was good you were able to make the wheels turn in the right direction for you.
I think it is a good poem.
I wish you all the best.
