I don't see what Christmas should be decorated in the prisons. It's a mixed bag of religions in there, picking one over another would be sure to cause grief, I bet.

A Christmas Story is a great movie. Brings you back to a more innocent time, when people did not bludgeon and dismember their room mates. There is a scene in the movie where the dad character gets a leg lamp which is presented in the front window.

Some years back, my wife bought me a replica. It goes up the first of December every year. We have a fairly large house in a main road, so the lamp is seen by many people each night. I'd love to put them in every window, just as a gag sometime.

The holidays this year were wonderful. Thanksgiving, we met up with friends we had met over the years for a holiday in Jamaica. Thanksgiving dinner was served by the sea, with the waves crashing, a smile on everyone's face as we all enjoyed the Caribbean breeze blowing over the table. None of us really have family, but made our own, and it was amazing.

Hi Keith,

I really enjoyed how you were able to have the conversation flow,it was like I was listening to an actual conversation. Also nice job at building tension between the two characters in a very short amount of time. Thanks for posting these.

The Lin thing turned out to be staged, not spontaneous as the whole viral sensation would lead everyone to believe.

$20/hourly is all guards make? Good lord, that's a pittance for the environment they work in, and the people surrounding them. $40,000 annually does not buy much nowadays. It was good money when you were locked away, now it is well below a median income.

It's sad about your mom. Wilkes-barre hospital is insanely overcrowded, I can believe the no bed issue. Hopefully, an agency can help her with home care. Often it's the best situation for this with cancer, although it is an untenable situation when chemo is involved.

Your words help me find the light spots in my memory, thank you so much for writing
I might not understand where you're coming from, but you are not alone, and my thoughts are with you today and in days in the future
you are cared for and I wish you lights like candles and everything that is possible, you deserve it

I hope you are well, thank you for reaching out and thank you for helping my sadness
all the best

I think it is a really good job that you won't be hitting the pavement in your lifetime. At least our women will remain safe from your deviancy and your attempted murder od guard Brad Davis has ensured law enforcement will be safe as you serve your sentence until 2049.
