I wanted to add that you should write about SHU's - exactly how big the cell is and how often you get outside to the, um, yard. When was the last time you saw the grass, sun. Have you walked outside in the last few years?
Folks here on this blog need to know what it's like.
Many have no idea.
You (or someone inside) would have to write that post and send it in here (I cannot write a post, of course - I can just comment). Besides, they need to hear from people who are there - who are enduring this.
The more it gets out - the better. I hope you write back, I'll be following your blog, ok?
I don't know whether you'll get what you want from admin. Frankly, from some of the press they put out I doubt it.
But I do believe that some change is coming. The hearings will help. And there is legal pressure from the courts.
It's a terrible thing that you have endured. I'm really very sorry. I don't know how it has come to this (and we as a society have allowed these prisons to be built)
I've done the few small things that I can (from where I am. I'm on the other side of the country). But I do care very much! I've also posted about the problems with SHU's on the internet (just to spread the word).
Do you have a religious tradition that's important to you? I ask because if you do - you could write to the temple, church (what-have-you) and they usually have someone who could help serve in this capacity.
I think your idea is great and one that most folks need when they get out. Do you have time left to make a good transition plan?
I don't know much about your state, but most states don't help folks when they get out. So you need to find help. If you write out a blog post of what you are looking for, I'll bet folks here would google some support (transitional housing, if that's what you want, for instance).
Or some addresses of churches, ect. It's a place to start.
You did have love it was from me and as you recall you left me while i was pregnant oh yea sorry i lied about not being pregnant i really was, then you left me for a fat girl named Katrina and ran off with her to another state! like i said im angry at you but im angry with myself too.
Its not that i don't care i just haven't found the time to write I've been really sick, also to figure out what i want to write and hope to not make you upset because yes i am angry at you but also at myself.
