"Black Unity" February 14th, 2013

Where is it in America? I want you all to think about my question for a minute. I'm going to share my (views) on it. (Black folks) today are cruel to one another. "Look at all the black-on-black crime they fight, stab, shoot and sometimes kill each other" Every time you read newspaper, magazines, books the list goes on. If a black female or male become successful in this country. Other black folks will say what did she or he do to get that. They sure didn't earn or deserve it, that's plain mean. This has been going on before "I was born it's sad but true". I have come to realize all other races of people, Caucasians, Hispanics, Asians etc. can get along and help each other with (NO problem).
They are there to assist their race. You even see it in places like this daily and blacks is the majority. Simply no respect, unity, nothing. Stop the hatred, bitterness, and malice "PEOPLE". I was reading in one of my "Ebony Magazine" where a black woman had become successful in the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Industry. As a "CEO EXECUTIVE" she took over it seven years ago from the original founder. And the other women envied her success "for no reason at all". The lady told her, Don't hate my fame. All it takes is hard work and dedication. Anyone can have this just try it. She made perfect sense: well it's (Black History Month). Everyday is (Black History) to me. Not just in February. I learn something new about my (RACE) of people three hundred and sixty-five days a year. Where is the unity amongst black folks? Can you all out in the real world enlighten me? I want to leave you with this black folks. Will we ever come together as a whole plus learn to respect and love one another unconditionally in this country called America? We need a "NEW REVOLUTION". I'm open for any comments or opinions.

Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post. While I am Caucasian, my only guess on why Unity is weaker in the Black community could be because of the continued racism in our culture. I think the system is set up to add more barriers for Black people to cross just to get the same opportunities as people of other races and it makes everyday life more like a shark tank where you have to fight with others and step on others to achieve things. As for what a solution might be, I have no idea.
