Poem #3; August 20th, 2013
Nice things shared behind the bars:

The males, I've met throughout
the jails and prison systems that
are selfless towards others, they
have always had a little something
to give:
A verbal story, a nice book, a rap song,
a good joke to make me laugh,
a listening ear. Compassion when I am
hurting. A lie told to protect us from
an act of danger.
Plus, a nice gift of canteen food
items, to eat at night before bed time.
