Dear Readers

Dear readers,

I'm writing this for any and all of you who may have pledged allegiance to a street organization or gang. First I must let all of you know that I pledged my allegiance to the street organization known as the Vice Lord Nation when I was about twelve or thirteen years old, so these words are for me as well.

First, let me address the Vice Lord Nation. I was told that we stood for love, truth, peace, freedom, justice. But it seems that we stood for hate, lies, violence, and captivity. But the worst is injustice. We all took the oath to be pillars and protectors of our communities. Yes, we infuse them with drugs, violence, and all other sorts of corruption. As a representative of the Vice Lord Nation, I feel that I and others have failed all of those who died for the cause. I'm sorry that we all somehow veered off of the path and hopefully this letter will reach the masses, not to mention the head of the organization branches. Because I feel we all need to be held accountable for not following the oaths, laws and principles we swore to uphold and enforce.

I swore to go back to the original concepts of uplifting our youths, building our communities, providing peace, restoring love, giving truth, enjoying and living freedom and justice. I'm begging the heads of these organizations to publicize their good deeds so that the media can stop providing a one-way, or should I say, a one-sided view of us.

I'm begging that we start giving back to our communities, being examples to those coming behind us, not the negative drug-dealing. Let me show you how to make money, but the legit, let me show you how to own a business way.

With that said, let me address the other organizations. I know that some of you preach love, life, loyalty, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Others preach salvation, uplifting, honor, love, truth, and commitment. But just like the Vice Lord organization, you fail to provide those things to your representatives. How can you be willing to die for those principles when you've never or hardly ever lived for them? If you truly love your organization, then be the pillars and examples of righteousness for your branch and your organization's community.

I know that some of us fear being placed in federal prison for admitting our affiliations, but if we don't break the law, then we don't need to worry about it. With that said, I'm asking you to stand for the original concepts of your organizations and, in one case, the newer concept of growth and development.

I'm begging all of you who read this to arrange community clean-ups, reach out to the older organization members, and have them reach out to the representatives, members, and affiliates of those groups to try to make things better.
