If Texas state prisoners are ever expected to leave these prison units with a sincere commitment to lawful behavior, then TDCJ officials/guards must be example conduct themselves in an honest and lawful manner at all times, whether at or away from work. Anything less makes a mockery of the stated mission of the TDCJ.
When thousands of tax dollars are wasted to defend a former guard whom many considered a rogue, this sends mixed messages to prisoners. My December 13, 2013 letter follows this page so you can read.
