Subject: 'Grinching'
Well, I guess there can't be a Merry Christmas without a grinch or two working to screw things up. The week started out very well until we received a 3am wake-up call from one of 'Santa's Grinches' pounding on the walls. All day and night 'thump, thump, thump, thump!' It was difficult to determine who was actually doing this, so we just endured. He hasn't stopped pounding on the walls yet.
Another Grinch was our local 'Mad Hatter' who loves to spew hatred and threats indiscriminately all day and night. He's been at it non-stop for weeks now, and seems to have kicked it up a notch for Christmas. The staff seems unable to curb his enthusiasm. It doesn't take much to get him started, and my TV or radio fails to drown him out. We've tried to talk to him, only to become the target of his next rant of defamatory, bigotry, calling people faggots, perverts, homos, etc. He even had the audacity to go outside to the yard and spit on someone through the gate. The target of his cowardly assault couldn't respond because he was trapped in an adjacent cage. This vicious act did not go unnoticed by the staff, and he received a ? duct which is sure to land him in the hole. But due to the mental health policy, he will not do much time (as if it ever did any good).
There was also a very grinchy guard who made it difficult for the workers to celebrate the holidays. Even his coworkers fell victim to his vallainy. It's a changing of the guard and he's trying to stay on the block by being a backbiting ?
In spite of these Grinches, we still enjoyed our Christmas. Can't sweat the haters.
