Around 6:30 p.m., the prison was placed on lock down, and all available staff were directed to AB block. A prisoner was strangled to death by his cell mate. No motive has been given at present for this vicious attack. It's said that the strangler is mentally unstable, and threatened to kill someone earlier that day. Locking up mentally ill prisoner's mental health, as well as physical, is constantly under attack & untrained staff. Prison is not the place for a mentally ill person. It seems the state doesn't care for their welfare as much as they profess. No matter how much the state is at fault for that prisoner committing murder. they will take no responsibility, and nothing will change for us. It'll be business as usual the next day.
