After Hunger Strike

Recently here in Tehachapi, people that newly arrive will be able to receive their shoes, clothes, and CD player. This, of course, has come about due to the hunger strike last year. However, prisoners throughout California SHU will bask in this minor victory, we shouldn't for a second lose sight of our real goals and forget the purpose of the hunger strike.

In news of this event, correctional officials recently passed out a memo stating that CDCR will have a public hearing on April 3, 2014 at 5:00 PM. This hearing concerns the enactment of a coup de grace of the stg. program. This should be viewed that in despite of our peaceful protest, CDCR will have no rebellion on their midst and will work full-heartedly to trample any embers of resistance.

The goodies that CDCR allowed us good in itself, shouldn't take the spotlight of what we could achieve and should strive for. Concessions are not the final goal and prisoners should note this well. More resistance will be needed to trample and defeat the implementation of the Stg. program and moreover to realize the five core demands. Take heart in our tactful achievements and what as one mass can achieve.
