Gang Wars

There's a war going on, but it's not Iraq,
The southern Mexicans are gunning down blacks.

Nobody doing anything in the city of Long Beach,
When it comes to revolutionary time, blacks are soft as a peach.

Claiming they're tough, but there's no guns blazing,
Only people gunning down the Mexicans are the Cambodians and Asians.

It's a war that's been going on since the early nineties,
Where all the black people at? They're probably hiding.

Black women losing their lives every time they step out of the house,
Hispanic Mexicans seeing an opportunity to put a pistol in their mouth.

It can be 12 noon in broad daylight, that trigger, they'll pull it,
Take a black woman's life, making her eat bullets.

Nobody rallying up the troops, strapping up to go on missions,
Nobody buying guns, add a lot of ammunition.

Even the rappers in the LB that be on the block,
Yeah, the one's running around, saying they be toting glocks.

Where them fools at? I haven't heard of any one of them letting off shots,
I hear more, "Dial 911. We'll give that fight to the cops."

There's a war going on, can't nobody come together?
It's a race war ensuing, but the blacks keep killing up each other.

They would rather beef with each other than fight another race,
Violence ain't the answer, but what would you do if your sister was shot in the face?

What if it was your auntie, mother, granny, any female in your fam?
What would you do? You better get wit the program.

Every time a black woman steps out the house, it's a damn shame.
She may not make it back home because a bullet don't have a name.

Need I say more? It's evident and self-explanatory.
What's going on in Long Beach: it's like a plot in a horror story.

There's the tension in the air and it's worse than ever before,
A lot of people are blind to the fact that in Long Beach it's a gang war.
