Beep!
It's a sad day, another female on life support.
Laying in ICU, doctors saying her time is short.
Family looking at the x-rays, seeing blunt force trauma,
kids crying because Daddy beat the hell out of their momma.
It all happened when he came home one night real late
she's hiding in the dark throwing dishes and plates.
Throwing irons, pots, and pans, everything in sight.
And a pool of blood is what they saw on the floor that night.
The man turned on the light, but before he did that
he heard his girl talking, about to grab a bat.
You hear screams, moans, and a gang of crashes,
You hear him saying, "Baby, I can explain," but she burns their house to ashes.
The man starts swinging, hitting everything that moves
bursting his knuckles up till there's nothing else to prove.
He grabs the bat then you hear the baps and thumping,
and then, for a minute, his girl's heart stops pumping.
When he hits the light, he's surprised at all the blood he sees,
seen broken appliances, an iron through the plasma TV
He looks at his hands and he's covered in blood.
He stood over her body and said, "I'm sorry, my love."
The response arrives in time before the house goes down.
Nothing left but burnt desire and a black foundation ground.
He confesses and cries because he couldn't get no sleep
while the family holds her hand, they hear the machine go beep!
