If You're Black

Justice! This judicial system is so damn corrupt
The judge gets biased soon as he buttons his robe up

Judges wear black, that's a symbol of power
They're unethical every day, almost every hour

There ain't no justice, no matter where you turn
Jails were made for blacks; they say we will never learn

Prison's overcrowded, now they have to release
These violent criminals that they once took off the streets

Everything was good until serial killers came about
Killing a gang of people and burying them under the house

White man came to prison, the treatment ain't the same
A governor's friend now, all of a sudden, the law need to be changed

When a lot of white people started getting a sentence of life
Now the legislature gotta change, the law on three strikes

What about the blacks? Is justice really equal?
Is it? What!? It doesn't apply to black people

Say we're used to being slaves, used to being mistreated
Where's equal protection? Guess we're used to being cheated

A lot of blacks on lockdown, their lives being interrupted
Dealing with a crooked DA and the system that's so damn corrupted

Justice for all races: I wonder who told you that
It doesn't apply to us. Why? Because you're black
