My horizons have expanded.
My universe is larger than before.
Nothing has changed, yet everything
Is different—I just entered the 21st century.
I can now reach out to others
In something faster than
Prehistoric time.
No more waiting for the snail-man
To bestow a missive on me.
No more unanswered phone calls
(and no more wondering why).
No more feeling isolated because I've
Been locked away forever.
Email has come to Stanley and though
I'm grateful to the powers that be for
The privilege, I'm more grateful for
All the wonderful friends and family I
Am now able to message regularly.
