Dear Outside World,
June 29th will be my 35th birthday spent inside this belly of the beast, and what's different this time is that my family is not allowed to send me a birthday card due to a stupid prison policy.

Since my imprisonment, I've noticed how the little simple things like a letter from my family, a birthday or greeting card, a phone cal, and a visit are all slowly being taken away from us. The few little simple things that allow us to feel like human beings are being taken away from us in order to break our human will and spirit. They are billing us softly and slowly.

The good news is that I'm strong, broken, and human! I'm still acting on a ruling on my post-conviction relief, and I feel good that my liberation is coming soon!

Strong but human,
Christopher Trotter

Hello Christopher!
Happy birthday! I hope it went great. I wish i could send a gift! I'm sorry to hear about the birthday card from your family not being allowed. I understand what youre talking about, the little things being taken away. We all deserve those simple pleasures. They truly have no empathy or heart. I am glad to hear you are not allowing it to break your spirit, which, like you said, is what they want. Good to hear your freedom is close at hand. Stay strong!

Sincerely,
Zion
