THE AFFAIR

Man, I'm smart.

It's you and me, handsome. We're the "us" in Narcissus. [cartoon of Narcissus next to the pool]

Sunday 10-7-18

Hello Me, it's me again... all alone with my Reflection(s).

So what have you been up to lately, I ask myself, with a mischievous smirk.

Well now, I went to church of course. The first Sunday of every month they serve grape juice and crackers after the sermon, so you know! But as I never go to an orgy empty handed, I took along a 9" x 12" piece of artwork to donate to the Art Show Auction, which benefits Survivors. This is so awesome - in so many ways.

2018 Charity Art Show Asks for MCSP Participants

By Lt. F. Jacobo
MCSP Community Partnership Manager (A)

Mule Creek State Prison has been invited to partner with the Sutter Amador Hospital Theme Ball that will be held on October 20 at the Jackson Rancheria. This charity fundraiser raises money for cancer support services. This year's goal is to raise $100,000 to aid research and to provide resources to cancer survivors. The planning committee has reached out to MCSP in the hopes of obtaining inmate-donated artwork to be used in a silent auction. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the survivor fund.

We have been given a limit of 25 pieces of art to be donated for this show. We are asking for any inmate that wants to donate a piece of art to have it submitted by Friday, October 12. These pieces of art will be submitted to the chapel and will be subjected to a thorough review and inspection to ensure there is no gang-related or inappropriate material presented.

The chair-team will select the 25 best options and have them delivered to the event to be included in the auction. Each inmate must sign a form stating that he or she agrees to donate the piece of art and will not receive anything in return for this donation.

Any additional artwork that was not selected will be returned to the inmate who originally submitted it. We are in the process of setting up an additional charity art show through the Giving Gallery, and those pieces can be resubmitted for that show later on down the road.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your IAC representatives or to the CRM's Office using a CDCR Form 22. Thank you for your participation.

Yea, right?

Carpe diem, LOL.

It all comes down to Factor #1, doesn't it?

Dear William,

Your post gave me a smile this morning. I’m glad I stepped away from the usual social media media sites that take up my free time by continuously bagging out your president, despite the fact that I live in the other side of the globe (not meaning to get political in our first interaction; that’s a whole other orgy).

Grape juice & crackers would probably serve as my own motivation if I attended church, that and my curiosity for the people in attendance, their motivations for choosing this tribe & to attempt to observe the benefits they gain in choosing to drink the cool aid. People fascinate me, and you win that prize for today (sorry, there’s no actual prize, but my appreciation for your generosity in gifting your artwork).

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Take care & keep spreading those smiles!
Nicki
