The killing of innocent civilians in Afghanistan by a U.S. soldier is truly a tragedy. But, let us remember that this is the act of ONE individual acting solely of his own accord and certainly is not endorsed by the United States Government.
When the Taliban (from Afghanistan) committed the 9/11 tragedy the U.S. civilians as a whole did not hold the entire Afghanistani people responsible. It was only the Taliban and one Osama Bin Laden.
The Afghanis need to remember this fact and not hold hostility towards all Americans.
The Taliban has vowed "revenge" for the act of one individual against the American people as a whole. This only shows their limited mentality. Yahuah states "Vengeance is mine" so let Elohim take the vengeance wherever he deems necessary.
As for the U.S. soldier who committed this crime, he should be handed over to the Afghani government. If the crime was committed there he should be punished there, by their laws and in their system for the crime he committed on their soil. Isn't it hypocritical that when the U.S. caught the persons responsible for the 9/11 terrorist acts they were prosecuted in our country for crimes that were committed on our soil, yet when a U.S. citizen, soldier or not, commits an act of terrorism on foreign soil the U.S. wants to take charge of that individual too? I don't buy the whole under color of law argument. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time and one should pay the penalty of whichever country they commit their crime or acts of terrorism in.
Shalom,
The opinionated one.
