Life and the Sun

Just last week, I was sitting by my cell window mesmerized by one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever witnessed. I was drawn into deep contemplation about life and the sun: what is it?

This week, I happened upon a Nova documentary about the sun. It was extremely informative and so extraordinary. They were able to penetrate the molten hot layers of the sun to discern a credible hypothesis on the sun's make-up.

The theory is that the sun's surface is made up of particles in flux by sound waves generated by the rotation of the superheated plasma core. Scientists were able to penetrate the various lawyers and created a picture of how the superheated plasma core perpetually explodes some serious nuclear energy, which emits radiation through a sea of gravity. This gravity keeps it all in check and is so heavy that it takes thousands of years for the radiation to get through the corona, giving us heat and illumination.

Its size is enormous; you can fit over a million earths inside. And it's billions of years old. How magnificent!

I didn't know how important it was to have an education. Knowledge is power! I've always thirsted for knowledge, and I didn't realize it until I got locked up for a crime I didn't commit. Growing up, I was discouraged from seeking an education by our school system, and I didn't know any better.

How amazing life is! To be alive in an era so full of knowledge about who and what we are, and where we come from and how far we could go. Ignorance is not bliss! It just makes you unaware of your potential, and the giant boulder hurling towards you. We have a great system, but it's not perfect.

My boulder is this death penalty that's trying its damnedest to crush me. In my ignorance of self and the system, I was thrust into this perilous perpetuation of extermination. But I've been empowered by the breath of life, as I've found my strengths and converted my weaknesses, which has enabled me to survive thus far. I've acquired knowledge!
