So now I am back. There's a zillion subjects to cover and I question how effectively I can cover the ones I feel are important.

One subject that was irritating the sh*t out of me while I was away from writing was how amazingly unaware the general public is when it comes to the California prison state...er...system.

I get letters of visits and people are always surprised that it is nothing like the 'TV version' of prisons or even 'The Shawshank Redemption'! They think we got all this great stuff like cable TV, slc, oranges, nutritious meals, medical care, etc.

A good example is visiting. We are at the whim of whatever the guard says. If we get some socialist pig psychotic; no touching, hugs, kisses, hand holding...NADA.

If an inmate's family member has a medical emergency (it's stressful on people) there are all kinds of nurses, paramedica, c/o's running around and helping. If it's an inmate, there isn't.

The food in visiting is usually fresh, nutritious tasty and varied. No one believes us when we tell our families that this is the best we will eat until they come again. THey have been led to beleive that we got the basics and it's real & it's fresh. Wrong again!

In visiting we have lots of board games, cards, chess etc. No one believes it's all donated by outsiders--families, help organizations. The STATE OF GAHLP[swastika]FORNYA does NOTHING for us inside these walls. The public thinks their tax dollars buy Monopoly & Battleship, etc. No No No!

In visiting we can pay $2.00 (U.S.) for a photo. No limit! There are inmates who don't get visits and if ti wasn't for INMATES DONATING THEIR OWN $, we wouldn't have the 'photo project' where we inmates of means can pay for photos for inmates who can't get them otherwise. People think we got pictures if we want them.

So WAKE UP AMERICA! Put down your Starbucks and take action...Call former Senator Chris Webb or former Senator Chris Dodd and encourage them to speed up their prison reform referendums & projects. If it's bad in Gahlefornya, it's gotta be worse elsewhere

'Activism' is not a defunct 1980's video game maker, it is your patriotic duty! Go now!

Your voice in the wilderness,

Andy
