Hello out there beyond the wire! :D
They say time is a precious commodity. In which case, I must be a very wealthy man. Because the state has certainly given me a lot of it. :D
I spent a part of the fortune (some of that time) putting together a few poems that I want to share. Okay, maybe I got a bit carried away. I lost count at 70 poems. :D They say a poet has a great imagination. Imagining that people want to read his poems. :D The batch that I put together was from a series that I call "Snapshots of Grace: Experiencing God From Behind the Wire". I'll put them in the mail tomorrow (gotta get some stamps).
In the meantime, I had some fun with words putting together a spoof of Robinson Crusoe/Sleeping Beauty and a Friday Night. :D I also included a poem I wrote from the first group, G.E.D. students that I was honored to watch receive diplomas here at Century. As a tutor, I'd watched the effort put forth and the sense of achievement that they felt had me feeling like a proud poppa. :D
Most of my Christian poems are evangelical in nature. However, although my focus is often distracted toward comforting the afflicted, I have no qualms about afflicting the comfortables. :D
