Who Decides Who

10.09.12
When can a man be beyond salvation,
Too steeped in sin for an excavation,
And be written off as a total loss,
Beyond the redemption found at the cross?

And who decides who that man should be,
That's "Beyond The Blood" shed on Calvary?

How about someone who persecuted the church,
Sending Christians to death from a lofty perch-
Which one of us would have had the gall
To banish, such a man as Paul?

How about an adulterer
Who sent a man to face his death
So that he could claim his wife
After he'd taken his last breath

If such a man was so ill-favored
What would have become of King David?

What of a man who took a life in a fight
Then fled like a fugitive into the night.
Would he be banished as one supposes-
What would have then, become of Moses?

What of a man who would deny the lord?
Of course that man would have been deplored
Who- 3 times, before the cock could crow,
When questioned, said he "didn't know"

11.9.12
Redemption must have made the victory
Even that much sweeter
As it did in the case of Peter

When can a man be beyond salvation
Too deep in sin for excavation.
and "who decides who" that man should be,
That's beyond the blood shed on Calvary,

There was once a cruel slave master,
Who did his talking with his whip-
And when he'd "talked" some slave to death
Would simply toss them off his ship.

If such a vile man faced a firing squad,
Perhaps we'd like to do the shootin-
But then who would have taken his place,
And wrote the words to "Amazing Grace"?

You see- That "vile man" was John Newton.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I'm found,
I was blind, but now I see."

The blind, the cripple, the hopelessly lame-
The penitent sinner, his head bowed in shame.
The addict, the boozer, the 3 time loser-
He promised to love me all the some.

He did it for you, and he did it for me
When "He came to set the captives free"

12.9.12

"Whoever Will" - He said
Just call upon his name.
He promised
To love ALL- Just the same.

Thank God that we are saved by Grace,
And not by the opinion of man.
Thank God, That we are saved by the blood,
Not by some church, or the Vatican.

So- "Who decides Who", Should be free, Should be bound?
Well, it's "Amazing Grace" - how sweet the sound.
