A Woman

A woman can give you love
just like a white dove
A woman can be fun
up under the hot sun
A woman can heal your pain
when we think we have nothing to gain
A woman has grace
and she knows her place
A woman is strong
but she wasn't prolong
A woman is gold
and will not be sold
A woman will do her part
because she is smart
A woman is fine
mine tastes like wine
A woman is bold
and can be very cold
A woman will treat you like a king
She knows you wear the ring

Colorblind Love
I was reading this Ebony Magazine (May 2011) in this cell J 13115. I came across an article. I decided to speak about it. It's called Colorblind Love.

This type of mixed dating/marriages been going on since I was born. A lot of our African-American males are on drugs, locked up, or dead. The other ones love white women because they can control them better. I heard them mention it in the past.

They say black women are too aggressive and gold-diggers. Why would our black men belittle our black women? We came from a woman. What sense does that make? None.

Me, personally, I could never date anyone outside of my race. I'm not racist or anything. But another race cannot satisfy me. I love my black people. One thing I've learned in life: people should do what makes them happy and not follow another person's footsteps because that wouldn't be real. Can you really find true happiness outside of your race? Why does race matter if you are looking for true love? I think biracial children are beautiful people. Oh! I've seen some attractive white men and women in my life, and I've told them so in the past. But I just can't cross that line. It's just not in my bloodline.

Between 1980 and 2008, rates of intermarriage among blacks nearly one in seven of new U.S. marriages is interracial or inter-ethnic.
