Poems

I'm regretful I cause you anguish,
You anguish and pain...
I'm regretful I did
deadly and dreadful things,
I regret your loss,
at what was your cost...
I hope you ear,
this message I bare...

I'm grateful for this chance,
which wasn't so,
at first glance...
thanks for this time,
which opened up my mind...
what wonders that I found,
with every heavy step...
Today I have no regrets,
but my gratitude to you
Nonetheless
Is a million thanks
and
because of you,
I have no heart aches...

It's no laughing matter,
it's not a cherished thing...
It's not fun to see,
a loved one diseased...
shut cut from the world,
as the caskets get closed...
we sit and we cry,
and say our goodbyes...
Farewell to the times,
we once shared,
farewell to the times,
when we were close...
Now we throw flowers
at this dug-up grave.
The casket drops,
and so does this heart,
I'll try and not forget,
I'll try to stay strong,
I'll do my best.
But without you,
I'm not my whole best...
