I transcribed your poem HEROISM, and I was very moved by the depth of the concept you brought up in such a short piece. I think the truth of the matter is that life tends to be horridly unfair and people, and despite what people tell themselves, even the people who consider themselves the most "impartial" are built up of different shades of biased perspectives. Love & guns do - I think- I good job in encompassing human nature in general; they are neither entirely good or bad but a strange mix of the two. Needless to say, it was a very well-written & well-thought out poem.
Second, (Gary) Collins claimed to have heard through the prison grapevine, albeit after the stabbing, that Riker had given Jordan the shank to "hit" Stone. Vol. XIV, at 371.
SAH and Hazel. I realize you both are not defending me personally but Thank You for standing up and saying what kind of person Sean Riker is. The hell from his man is undescribable to anyone who doesn't really know him. I am sorry for the pain that Sean has caused you and your family. I know all too well the torment that he reaps on others. Thank you for being the first people in three years since his arrest to stand up on these stupid blogs and so that I am not the only one saying Sean is evil and guilty. Thank you. I hope you and your family find peace.
Please post the documents that you have. Otherwise I will let up a temporary email and you can email them to me and I'll post them.
I finished the transcription for your poem. The whole page was a piece of art and it was an absolute pleasure to read it. I hope I'm right in thinking that it concerns breaking out of a given mindset with the aim of growing to one's potential. Needless to say, the poem seemed lyric-like and the illustration was stunning. Thank you, and keep writing! ---CCB (candleships)
I just finished the transcription for your post about the "machoness" of crying, and I fully agree with the viewpoint you shared. I think an important lesson to keep in mind is that when we were infants, crying was one of our only forms of communication, and it could mean so many different things; feed me, hold me, I'm tired, I'm hurt, I'm angry, I'm sad. From the very instant one is born, crying is a sign of BEING ALIVE. But somehow, as we leave childhood and reach the realm of adulthood, it means almost exactly the opposite. I don't think people realize the power of crying as a step in the process of healing. Crying is a universal language, and can mean so many things, and I completely agree that we should not shun in in our society, instead work on accepting it as part of our global (human) culture.
Remember to wish yourself enough too. The time to forget requires the natural processes of change to continue their slow trudge into the future.
I wish you balance, I wish you knowledge, I wish you appreciation, I wish you all the things One could wish in a typed-up poem to a stranger Sent across the blustering plains of the internet, Eventually finding its way to you. I wish that your first love Would wish the same on you.
I hope I've made some impact on your day, If only to make this minute better.
What date (mo/year) 1980? I would be happy to do that minimal research to give you factual information on the recidivism rate...at your institute or your state (or both).
I'd like to post some VERY relevant documents regarding the state vs Mr. Pinson. HIS case is relevant ONLY because he is one of many who want relief from the court once they faced their peers and were adjudicated guilty. The jury didn't have ALL of his bad acts.
Keep writing :)

Not to be argumentative - I'd just like some stats so we can debate this on an even playing field.
Thank you.
