Hey, Mon!

Your letters are as amusing as ever. Thanks for bday card and wishes! I'm working like 3 jobs, coaching 3 soccer teams, and playing scoutmaster. Needless to say I'm a bit overwhelmed, so I'm slowing things way down. Just a few more weeks of soccer, then Carter and Tanner are done. Need some mindfulness. It's what gets me through sometimes. I recently shared a large fry with my boss at some great dive burger joint in Provo. I was mindfully eating the fries, savoring each one and picking out the smaller, crispier ones. He said, Are you gonna help me eat these fries or what? Haha. I'm savoring, Mon! You are what you eat.

More to come, dude, but always remember: give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Give a fish a man and he'll eat for a lifetime!

Ronnie - still following your posts. Please do me a favor and drop all the protests... yes i see your points on all you say... its only causing you more problems. Maybe life is better served for you in focusing on getting off this security stuff and back to visits.. can find someone out here who will visit and love you and care and you can focus on that... you can't beat them their at UCI and the time spent trying is time wasted... your blogs are great and when you Google your name there are alot of articles you have posted. Let UCI go - focus on Scott, the justice system, even reach out to young people who are on the same dead end road you were on... if Ms. Mahoney is even coming by to kindly advise you let it go - means she cares enough about you and has insight to what the stirring up is doing. I too am rebellious - i was in foster care and orpahnages and I know who limited it is and frustrating to be constrained by others. This is your life here n earth.... you cant change where you are NOW.. but you can change how you deal with it. Forget the guards - anyone who steals your cookies and candy is a joke. That was funny by the way. I mean a man does need his Jolly Ranches. :) It's all good. I mean not to say that your efforts to change things are useless - but perhaps focusing on you and finding someone to love an share your life are better spent. Keep on with articles etc. They are good. You have alot to offer a lady who is willing to love an inmate.... and essentially I think from what i read is what you need. Just sayen. Write a book... there is a fella there that has published 2 books about UCI on his own nickel - seek him out and see what you could do that readers would buy. Open your mind to that. And hey... i dont even have the answers for my life... so don't think I am a goddess sending you answers to your life. We are outsiders looking in is all. With love. K

Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post.

This definitely comes under the fantasy genre by the way.

I don't think there is a limit. It's helpful and also more easily read though if your writing is broken up under separate headings/titles so they come up in separate posts on the blog. 1-3 pages per subject/letter at a time is average I'd say.

I was locked up with gary in I.M.U in snake river in oregon. After reading this he sounds really sincere about changing his life. Gary was a lost young man the last time i saw him, he was full of pure hate. I hope he finds his way, and excepts all forms of support and is able to enjoy the rest of his life in peace..

Some good stuff here. I DO like Dream Theater. I'm a big fan of a band called Porcupine Tree, that I think you'd like, (start with "In Absentia), then move forward, and THEN backward with those guys. That seems to work best. Also, an offshoot of them called "Blackfield" is pretty awesome. I don't care for what little "Cristian Metal" that I've heard any more than the other stuff. Nickelback doesn't speak to me. Kind of bland pop stuff. My music tastes are pretty difficult to explain. I guess a more comprehensive list would maybe trigger something to cognitive reasoning shrink. Anyway, if Metal does it for you, cool. I also like a LOT of instrumental stuff. Primarily Guitar. I've actually seen Tony McAlpine as a member of Steve Vai's touring band, on of the years I saw him. (Vai is my favorite guitarist). I've seen G3 a couple of times, and Joe Satriani on his own a couple times. I also am getting back into Jazz a bit. I got through this cycles. The constants are Beatles and Yes, because they formed the soundtrack of my life. I associate most the events in my life with a Beatles song (pre-1970), or a Yes song (1971 and beyond). I rolled with Yes through every permutation and member change which has been plethoric to say the least. Most Yes fans are factional. Usually marked by the guitarist of different line ups, (Peter Banks/Steve Howe/Trevor Rabin). I'm part of a small breed who would be called a Yeswhole, as I love it all. Every phase. I'm about to blow a gasket waiting for the first solo album from Trevor Rabin in 23 years (that's not a movie soundtrack). It's coming out May 12, and it's called "Jacaranda", which is the name of his studio in LA. It's supposed to be an all instrumental album just showcasing his guitar and piano prowess in a variety of ways, including bluegrass, jazz and rock. Sounds just about right for me right now. I'll let you know how it is.

Peace

Actually, Amazon says the books are delivered. Enjoy. It's all the rage right now. I may read them sometime, but I'm kind of in a non-fiction space right now. Got the Easter card, (Thank you), and the Birthday card (thanks again!). Peace

Meh! Don't apologize for a blog post. A blog is yours. To express what you feel. That's really kind of the point. As to my personal agreement or disagreement with any of the religion screed, I'll keep that off your blog, and put in a letter. But, as far as blogging goes....it's yours. Don't ever let my lurking presence here stifle your thoughts. I have one of these things myself, but I doubt you'd like it, since it's all Catholic Christian Theology, Classical philosophy, and Apologetics. My thoughts. Nobody reads it. It's like everybody out here on the "interwebs" (as my daughter Kristal calls it) has a blog. There are too many writers, and not enough readers. Same thing is happening in Music. Everbody with a cell phone video camera, (which IS everybody, believe it or not), is now an MTV video star now. Ah well! I'm glad this is here, and that you guys can get your stuff out there too. You'll get more readers than I would because of the allure of penal literature. Best of luck ;-)
