Yes! Each and every one, what can I say, something in the rants kept me reading ;) I can definitely see a change in tone since you reconnected with your wife, good for you! It sounds like you really do have quite a story and as a true crime buff like myself it surely seems there were some major missteps! Usually when there is a crime you can find all sorts of info but really there is not much out there about yours at all and DEFINITLEY nothing I could find about all of the things that led up to the incident. Hopefully in Time the wrongs will be righted, never give up.
Your post gave me a smile this morning. I’m glad I stepped away from the usual social media media sites that take up my free time by continuously bagging out your president, despite the fact that I live in the other side of the globe (not meaning to get political in our first interaction; that’s a whole other orgy).
Grape juice & crackers would probably serve as my own motivation if I attended church, that and my curiosity for the people in attendance, their motivations for choosing this tribe & to attempt to observe the benefits they gain in choosing to drink the cool aid. People fascinate me, and you win that prize for today (sorry, there’s no actual prize, but my appreciation for your generosity in gifting your artwork).
It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Take care & keep spreading those smiles! Nicki
Dear Jack, It's wonderful to hear back from you. I'm excited for July for your sake. I can only imagine how overwhelming, both good but maybe nerve-wracking, it would be to get out of prison after being there for so long, so please make sure to take care of your mental health to the best of your ability as you get closer to July. And yeah, sign language is very helpful! Another reason I'm learning it is because I have a lisp. Although I'm still understandable, it's enough to be pretty frustrating during speech. But with sign language, I don't have to speak. I'm also very sound-sensitive and I'm often overwhelmed by loud sounds and people's voices. When I have a conversation with a non-speaking deaf person, I don't have to hear anybody's voice, even my own. It's really nice. Do you speak any other languages? I'm currently in the process of scheduling my GED tests. I just turned 17, which means that I can legally take the tests now. Hopefully by the next time I send you a letter, I will have my GED. I'm really sorry about the sexual harassment you experienced. I can't say at all I've been in your shoes, but I've had my fair share of sexual harassment and threats. I hope you're okay. I was wondering... What were you like when you were my age? I mean, what was going on and what were your goals for life? Also, are you allowed to keep the letters I send you? I'd like to give you my email before you're released. There's many reasons I can't give you my snail mail address, but I would still like to keep in touch with you. Does the prison do anything for Halloween? I'm going to hang out with some of my friends the weekend before Halloween and watch Halloween Disney films we used to watch as kids. We're not really an exciting or cool-kid kind of bunch, but we do have fun. I can't wait to hear from you again! -Grace
They posted the 2 week menu!! Wow, the writing is so small, so I had a quick gander but will print it off and dig out some reading glasses I have laying around somewhere. It seems you get a LOT of bread!! It does seem pretty varied, but the portions ... I can't make out if it's 1/2 or 1/4 cup rice. One chicken leg? That hardly seems adequate to fill a man but I suppose adding the 2 pieces of bread would be a filler. I can certainly see not much flavour there. But , all things considered, it still seems better than the hospital food that gets served up here!
Still no page 2 from your own writing so I'm missing an entire page of important things I think.
I do hope your weekend is eventful .. or uneventful ... whichever is best for you! I'm on my way to work shortly so I don't have a lot of time to write at the moment. It's cold out today and there is snow on the ground. (curses under my breath)
I'll close with this.... "Remember me for who I am, Not what I've done"
It's October 19th now, and honest to God it's 16 C outside today! Unheard of for this time of year. It truly is beautiful with all of the fall colours. I suppose that is one benefit to living where the seasons change.
I do plan on a trip to Mexico this winter for a week. So that is something to look forward to. Is there anything you are looking forward to? I think even though however small or large it may be, a person should always have something to look forward to.
I hope you're enjoying your tablet! How is that going? Can you play games on it? Can you see your blog posts? I suppose not if you don't have internet. I'm just wondering if you don't have internet, how you would send/receive emails.
I'll close today with a simple joke -- 3 pieces of string walk into a bar. The first walks up to the bartender and orders an ice cold beer but is denied. The bartender says "Sorry we don't serve string". The 2nd does the same and of course is denied. While the 2nd is in the process of being told "We don't serve string" the third is dancing wildly, swinging his head around madly, totally acting like a goofball. Contorting his body this way and that. He is frazzled, but takes a deep breath and walks up to the bar and asks for a beer. The bartender starts to speak "We don't serve ...." and this piece of string guy simply cuts in and says "I'm a frayed knot"
Hugs & My thoughts are with you, Dee
(there may or may not be a page 4 - I have to work all weekend) So I do hope to hear from you soon. And perhaps you can find out where page 2 went from your last post. It's bothering me that you're disappointed about something I said or answered.
