... married man likes to be a woman. In Denmark, year 1926... He was the first transsexual ever.It was filmed extremely well!At times I got tears in my eyes.:o
It could be? that Belgians in the future also need a Visa.I visit George on April, 21 and am back May, 8th.2 letters from George got lost! I noticed it at the numbers. He numbers them. On purpose? Could it be of what he wrote about Trump? There is really a small chance they still show up... I don't know how everything went when he came out of segregation for 6 months! In the month of January I didn't get any letter!:((

My ticket for Chicago is booked, my Amtrak isn't yet.Still have to book the hotel in Chester. Where the writer of Popeye was born. :)

I called George's dad and we spoke one hour and even more!I always do.

Well Kelly, I hope to hear from you pretty soon!I am tired and I'll take a siesta right now. ;)

Take care, stay healthy and I wish you a Happy Valentine!
x Rita

Thanks again William! IOU a letter! I've been made aware of environmental pollution at MCI-N over the years, mostly through you and Michael. What about PLN/PEP?(Prison Ecology Project) Do you still have that info? There's a specific person working on environmental racism Inside.

For several decades PLN has reported on the intersections between mass imprisonment, the criminal justice system and the environment. Most specifically, the environmental destruction and degradation that prisons impose on surrounding communities – whether it entails building prisons in pristine environments like the High Sierra Mountains of California or the deserts of Arizona, or siting them on toxic waste dumps like the Rikers Island jail complex in New York City or on abandoned coal mines in Ohio and Pennsylvania. In those cases it is the prisoners and staff who are exposed to the consequences of long-running environmental disasters, such as contaminated water. The flip side of the criminal justice environmental disaster coin is that of the prison itself as a polluter. Past issues of PLN have reported how prisons across the country have been the sources of toxic waste contamination, mostly from sewage but also from hazardous chemicals and other pollutants.

The Human Rights Defense Center, which publishes PLN, has filed an environmental impact statement with the federal Bureau of Prisons over the negative impacts of building a maximum-security facility in an area of Appalachia that has severely contaminated water as a result of decades of coal mining, and which is the habitat of the endangered Indiana bat. HRDC has also filed a comment with the Environmental Protection Agency, requesting that they consider prisoners in environmental impact statements as part of the EPA’s environmental justice practices, which to date have specifically excluded prisoners. These initiatives are part of our new Prison Ecology Project, which seeks to put the issue of environmental justice as it relates to prisons and jails on the national map. We currently need to raise $50,000 to launch this project. If you can make a donation, please donate via postal mail, phone or our website, and note it is for the Prison Ecology Project. If you like this type of journalism and advocacy, you need to support it! The website for the project is: www.prisonecology.org.

hello Henri,

I haven't heard from you for quite a time. You got my letter from Indonesia?I hope so.How are you doing? Here this blog says you'll receive my notes on February 13.Tell me next time if this date was correct, okay?Friends wish each other also Happy Valentine and so Henri, that's what I am wishing you!:))Have a nice day anyway. When I flew from Singapore, coming from Bali, I met on the plane Joséphine (she prefers the name Josée)and she is French; she lives in Nice.We talked in the plane French and became friends. We are no emailing to each other. She, her son and his friend had been in Bali as well. They had a good guide to visit the interior of the island.Bali is so beautiful! We were not too long with our group in Bali; that was the 3rd island we visited.Because of all the tourists, they had a better economy then Sumatra and Java.Especially in Sumatra people were very poor! There are restaurants where people eat cat and dog!:o I also booked my flight for April 21st to George. On May 8 I will be back.I will visit him in his new prison, Menard. He was there before years ago. After his segregation of 6 months!!he was moved there. He prefers that place;as he has some friends there.Well,he came out healthy.Mainly he studied, read and wrote. Now he is back to population since December 15.His lawyer might do a mental check up of his mental situation. He leaves it to her decision.I was without letters from him for about a month and a half! Two letters never arrived...;as he puts numbers on it and I checked.:((I will tell his dad at the phone. What happened with those letters? Was it done on purpose!?Henri, give me again the name of your daughter and all the dates you know from her; hospital, town, etc
Then I will try to make work of it.I've a busy life. But I will do my best.
Lots of warm greetings from your friend Rita!A big hug! Stay well, Henri.
