I hope your doing okay in there and that jail isnt to harsh! i read that your in there for a while and i hope while your in there you make use of your time and get some schooling and degrees for when you get back out. hopefully when you get back out you can get a stable career and get your life on track! your young and attractive and its a shame that this happened!!
Hi Jeremiah - I read your initial post and felt the very real pain in it. Your follow up surprised me (in a good way) that you were able to work through this so quickly. I think you are making the right choice by leaving it alone. But know you will always be your mom's son, no one can take that away from you, not a newspaper or a will or anyone.
What is an incentive package? Is it something you receive for good behavior? Sounds interesting...
Your accounts of life in the prison dorm give a good glimpse of what goes on in there. Thank you. There was a show on earlier in the year called 60 Days In that depicted real life in a county jail. It was eye-opening to say the least.
It is true, the small moments like the ones in the grocery store, make up your life. It is a good reminder to notice and appreciate everything about the present moment.
I'll bet if you look hard, you can find beautiful moments to appreciate where you're at. It's much harder, I'm sure, but worth a try?
I'm glad to read that you are so positive and on the right track! All the activities you mention will continue you on this good path. I would be interested to read more about your experience with the self-help correspondence courses. It would be cool to hear what's out there and if there is anything that strikes my interest.
Sorry to read about the passing of your stepfather. It must be especially hard to receive this news behind bars and not be able to participate in the normal rituals to grieve his passing.
My mom had a stroke, a small one, but it took her a long time to get back to normal, so I know how it goes. Hope you continue to do well. The panic attacks are understandable, especially in your situation. Have you ever tried any breathing techniques or meditation for relaxation? That might help.
