Hey there, stay positive.. People make mistakes.. God forgives than so should everyone else.. I'm in a relationship were my boyfriend dis 16 years for murder.. He is out, accepted by his community and a great person! He made a mistake and paid or him.. But you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and with not knowing your circumstances.. I hope you have freedom in your future! GOD BLESS and keep your chin up high, and always remember "YOU ARE WORTH IT!" Sincerely-Ashley Mae
Thanks for writing! I finished the transcription for your post.
Hi Tay, I sent out a reply to your "afterthoughts" letter today...never received the original one...grrrrr...I think my neighbour is stealing my mail. I am getting myself a PO Box and will send you the new address soon...Hugs,Cori
Patrick, This is excellent. You are right in its similarities to some of the Buddha's teachings. Here is one poem from the "Discourse on Knowing the Better Way to Live Alone." Do not pursue the past. Do not lose yourself in the future. The past no longer is. The future has not yet come. Looking deeply at life as it is in the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom.
However, Patrick, you do need to proof-read better. There are too many spelling/typographical mistakes that I know you know better than to make.
Still it's very good reading. Thank you, for your thoughtful efforts— Nancy
Dear Friend, I wonder if this is the tree I stood in front of to have my picture taken with my Husband last year....I want to thank you for your blog and how you truly take a stand on what you believe in. There are many out there that hide the truth and I can only wonder...what are they hiding. What am I hiding?? Don't we all have something about ourselves, to hide? Some get caught and because of where they are, they are judged based on it...sad, but true. I have to defend my husband to people who think he is nothing, yet I am told by my Lord to love everyone, reach out to everyone, help everyone. Am I not the example?? Shouldn't my life reflect that of my Savior? If I treat everyone as if they are my brother and sister in Christ, not judge them and love them, shouldn't I expect them to treat others, including my husband, the same?? How sad to live in a society that cannot or will not judge themselves first, then be reminded not to judge others based on their own mistakes and bad choices. You have given many forgotten souls a voice...I am one of them......Grateful, Cita
Once again I find myself drawn to this web site and it just makes me feel so closer to you (_________________).
I choose the solitary confinement blog because it makes me think of everything that we take for granted, everything that we can do in the "free world" at a whims notice.
You know I always took my freedom for granted, its lie if I wanted to do something I could, I believed I was invincible, I knew if some one tried to attack me they would get a fight on their hands as I could defend myself, but a week ago when being attacked I got extremely scared and could not fight off the attacker, believing that I was going to die..........
I know you may ask why I am writing this here and not in a letter to you, but I already did that, and the reason for this is because I wonder is living in a free world better than being in solitary confinement??? Is being free, far better than being in prison???
In prison you have to watch your back, just like you do here, so where is the better place to be, at home or in prison???
Don, we have had ten years together, sharing the good and the bad, so for you my love, I fight to stay alive in the free world in the hope that you fight just as hard for your life and freedom, so together we can be a family once this is all over.
Sincerely-Ashley Mae
